Air compressor intake filter
Mike has posted the following link: https://industrial.companionbrands.com.au/index.php?p=line&sid=1380344732
I had a look and it links to a supplier of intake filters and other aftermarket parts in Australia. Thanks Mike, Bill)
Please tell me what brand and model is the compressor shown on the above site link. (your site and example of air filter)
I have an old ingersoll-rand 1988 model CA2 that has a very similar compressor and cannot locate any info or parts for it. The unite above has the exact air filter as my old IR does.
Any info much appreciated.
Gosh Bill, that was uploaded a couple of years ago. I am guessing Grainger / Speedaire, but it’s just a guess. Sorry I cannot be specific.
Thanks for your reply.
You are welcome, Bill Thanks for visiting and I hope the site was a help.
It”s a great site and I for one really appreciate folks like you that take the time to help others.
It looks like this old IR compressor of mine may be the last one on the planet. :>) I called the IR service center in Los Angeles but they had no pdf manuals or parts diagrams or parts. I’m getting a good deal of blow back from the intake and hopped to see what the chances were of finding some reed valves and maybe gaskets (if needed) before I pulled the head.
Didn’t wont to take a chance on making it useless without parts… since it will slowly pump up to 100 # now.
Lots of info on this site about making your own valves, and / or gaskets. Glad you’ve found my site useful so far. It’s pumping slowly as it sounds as though the intake valve is failing.
